Studio B highLIGHTS from Friday

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

I want to thank M::R::I for a most ass kicking friday night at Studio B, full of dancing, light painting, and a few other things that would be better left to the imagination. For those of you that did not make it out, I will be sure to keep you updated on when the next Flashing Lights event happens to be, so as to help launch your soul into highLIGHTED bliss. I was able to get right up front for the LA ROUX set, which was a concentrated blast of intoxicating energy that left me nice and sweaty, as usually happens when I am let loose on any possible dancing surface. Here are some of the light painted shots that M::R::I took on friday night. Enjoy!

Mark and Josh: The Siamese Wing Bros.

Killer shot of the Studio B dance floor.

(Reminds me of a hip version of the haunted house ride at Disney World with the dead ballroom dancers)

Sean Enhardt Jr.

This recipe calls for:

One part Canon Logic, two parts 2B (Richie & Mihir).

Can’t be away from my guitar for too long.

For those of you who are interested in seeing the rest of the shots from Studio B on Friday, you can check them out here.

Light Painting at Studio B this Friday 4/3

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Attention all lovers of light, and painting, our good friends, (who were mentioned in a recent entry) M::R::I, are setting up a free flashing lights photo booth at Studio B, (259 Banker St in Brooklyn) this friday, around 1130pm. The night will be full of dancing, drinking and posing for your very own light painting portraits to send home to mommy. One thing is for sure, I will be there, and you can bet your baby that my dancing skills off stage and without a guitar are a sort of sick blend between MC Hammer and the Star Wars light saber kid from youtube. This is a must see friday night extravaganza.

“The latest FLASHING LIGHTS on Friday, April 3rd at Studio B in Brooklyn features the live stateside debut of UK sensation LA ROUX, who’s made a name for herself with original synth pop gems like “Quicksand” as well as huge club remixes including Skream’s instant-classic reworking of her latest single, “In For The Kill.” Joining the FL residents on the decks is none other than DJ LINDSEY, fellow hometown dance expert and one third of the Negroclash crew.”
